Can I charge Power Queen 36V 50Ah Smart Deep Cycle Lithium Batteries in cold temps (below freezing)?
The Power Queen 36V 50Ah Smart Deep Cycle Lithium Batteries can charge from 0℃ to 50 ℃ (32℉ to 122 ℉). The 36V 50Ah TM version incorporates a low-temperature charging protection mode that stops charging when it drops below 0℃. It is advised that the battery be charged indoors on cold days.
Can I connect the battery in series or parallel?
The Power Queen 36V 50Ah lithium battery allows you to connect up to four identical batteries in parallel for a 36V(38.4V)200Ah battery system. However, the battery does not permit connecting in series.
To connect in series or parallel, batteries must meet the following conditions:
- Identical batteries with the same capacity (Ah) and BMS (A);
- From the same brand (since lithium batteries from different brands have their own BMS);
- Purchased within a month.
What should I do when I receive the battery?
Please be aware that your battery may have a low State of Charge (SOC) after shipping and storage. To avoid overdischarge, we recommend charging the battery promptly.
Bluetooth batteries may come in an off condition, with a virtual voltage of 3 to 5V at the terminals. This is typical and may be remedied by charging the battery for 3 to 10 seconds with an AC-DC LiFePO4 lithium battery charger or an MPPT solar charge controller, allowing it to function normally.
If you plan on storing the battery for a lengthy period of time, charge it to a state of charge (SOC) of 30% to 50% and perform maintenance every three months. This method will help it retain its functionality and performance over time.
