Can 48V LiFePO4 charger be used with lead-acid or other lithium batteries?
No. It is compatible only with LiFePO4 batteries.
For charging lead-acid, LFP, NCM battery, we recommend using our Power Queen Two-Bank Chargers.
How can I activate a LiFePO4 battery that has stopped working?
If the battery won’t charge or shows low voltage, the BMS may have shut down for protection. Use a LiFePO4 battery charger with an activation function to recharge, then the battery will recover automatically.
How long does it take to fully charge a battery?
The charger delivers up to 18A output.
For example:
48V 30Ah battery → around 1.7 hours to full
48V 100Ah battery → around 5.5 hours to full
What’s the difference between a smart charger and a regular charger?
A smart charger uses a CC/CV algorithm to monitor voltage and current, preventing overcharge and improving efficiency. A regular charger provides constant voltage or current without adjustment, which may reduce battery lifespan.
Can I charge two batteries at the same time?
It’s recommended to charge one battery per charger. If two 48V LiFePO4 batteries are connected in parallel, the charger can charge the combined battery bank as one system.
Can it charge four 12V batteries connected in series?
Yes, as long as they form a 48V LiFePO4 battery system. This charger is not suitable for other battery types in series.
What plug does this 48V 18A LiFePO4 battery charger use, and how do I connect it?
The charger uses a standard American AC plug. Connect the DC output to the battery, then plug the AC cable into power. The LED indicator flashes red or green while charging.
