What charger should I use for LiFePO4 battery?
To fully charge a 12V LiFePO4 battery, a charger with a voltage of 14.4V±0.2V is required. Using a charger with a lower voltage will still charge the battery, but it won't achieve 100% capacity.
Can I charge a LiFePO4 battery with a trickle charger?
Trickle charging is unsuitable for lithium batteries. Using a trickle charger not specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries can result in overcharging or damage, as lithium batteries have different charging requirements compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.
How long does it take to charge a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 lithium battery?
The 14.6V 10Ah LiFePO4 battery charger is specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries. The low internal resistance of the lithium cells allows the battery to receive the full output from the charger. With a constant 10A current, it takes approximately 10 hours to fully charge a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery (100Ah ÷ 10A = 10 hours).

Is it OK to leave a LiFePO4 lithium battery on the charger?
Leaving a lithium-ion battery on a charger overnight should be safe if the charger is set to the appropriate voltage limit for the battery type. For example, with a LiFePO4 cell like the one used in the Power Queen Battery (with a nominal voltage of 12.8V and a fully charged voltage of 14.6V), a charger with a 14.4-14.6V CC/CV output should work, as long as the maximum current output does not exceed 1C. You may safely charge your battery to full capacity by following the CC/CV profile, assuming the voltage is correct, and the current is not high.
How to choose the right charger for my LiFePO4 lithium battery?
It is critical to match your charger to the correct current and voltage for the LiFePO4 lithium battery you are charging. For example, you wouldn't use a 24V charger to charge a 12V LiFePO4 lithium battery. It's also recommended that you utilize a charger that's compatible with your battery's chemistry. Furthermore, when charging a LiFePO4 lithium battery using a standard lead-acid charger, make sure that the charger does not contain a desulfation or dead battery setting.
How fast will my battery charge?
To calculate your charging speed, divide the amp hour rating of your battery by the output current of your charger. A 100Ah battery would charge in 10 hours using a 14.6V 10A LiFePO4 lithium battery charger.
Can I charge my LiFePO4 lithium battery faster?
For most applications, a charging time of 3-10 hours will give your LiFePO4 lithium battery the longest life possible. However, if your application requires rapid charging, you can select a charger with a larger output current. For example, a 40 amp charger might be used with a 100Ah battery to charge it in 2.5 hours.
