        FAQ

Q: Are Power Queen LiFePO4 batteries safe?

        A:

Yes, LiFePO4 is renowned for its inherent safety and stability, making it the most reliable lithium battery available. Power Queen lithium cells are UL certified, meeting the highest standards for safety and sustainability. Each Power Queen LiFePO4 battery is equipped with an internal Battery Management System (BMS) that offers comprehensive protection against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during both charge and discharge, and short circuits, safeguarding the battery cells from potential damage. Furthermore, rigorous testing has confirmed that Power Queen LiFePO4 Lithium batteries pose no risk of fire or electric shock, even in extreme conditions.

Q: Can I use Power Queen LiFePO4 Lithium batteries as starting batteries?

        A:

No, Power Queen LiFePO4 lithium batteries are intended exclusively for energy storage and are not suitable for use as starting batteries. Please refrain from using them to start any devices.

To learn more about the differences between these battery types, check out our blog post: "Deep Cycle vs. Starting Battery."

Q: How do I store Power Queen LiFePO4 lithium batteries?

        A:

It is recommended to store Power Queen LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 6 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉), 45%RH~75%RH.

Q: How many Power Queen 24V 200Ah lithium Batteries can I connect at most?

        A:

Power Queen 24V batteries offer versatile connectivity options, supporting series, parallel, and series-parallel configurations. You can connect up to 2 batteries in series, 4 in parallel, or 8 in a series-parallel arrangement.

Q: Can I charge Power Queen LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels?

        A:

Yes, you can charge Power Queen LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels. Here are 3 reliable ways to charge

        1. Using Solar Panels

The Power Queen 24V 200Ah battery can be fully charged by in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5hrs/day) by 1200W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥1200W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency.

        2. Generator/Alternator

If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations.

The Recommended Charging Voltage: 28.4V - 29.2V. The Recommended Charging Current: ① 40A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 100A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.

        3. LiFePO4 Smart Chargers

To charge 24V battery, it is recommended to use 29.2V battery charger.
